Our semi-automatic zipper is something we’re truly proud of. Why? Because it’s lighter, more packable, and thanks to its unique way of operating, it’s also easier to use. See for yourself – watch the video:

  • The semi-automatic zipper doesn’t require a locking mechanism such as a hook-and-loop fastener or a snap button.

  • When the slider is folded down, it is locked in place and won’t open.

  • When the slider is lifted, the zipper can be opened simply by pulling both sides apart.

We use premium SHZ zippers with a thickness of only 3 mm (compared to the standard 6 mm), making our sleeping bags more compressible and lighter. But low weight doesn’t mean reduced performance! They’re equipped with a special semi-automatic slider and anatomical puller, allowing you to open and close the sleeping bag even in the dark or while wearing gloves. These zippers withstand extremely harsh handling, low temperatures, and long-term repeated use. Their failure rate is lower than 0.03%.
